Design and Technology: Statement of Intent
The Design and Technology curriculum at Oakway Academy is an inspiring and practical subject designed to meet the expectations as set out in the National Curriculum. The lessons will inspire children to think creatively to design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts. The Design and Technology curriculum is integrated into other subject areas, enabling pupils to acquire a broad range of subject knowledge and to become innovative. It is vital that products be purposeful in order to create an impact on the contribution to the creativity, culture and daily life of the wider world.
